Maanasa is going to be 4 in june & Neha will be 2 in a month, where did the time go? Sometimes I feel that they were born just now, they grew up way too soon): Maanasa is looking forward to her birthday in June so much, she keeps telling everyone that she will no longer be a baby once she turns 4!!)::) I don't know from where she got this idea??!! She gets upset & angry if someone refers to her as a baby. I remember the times when I wanted to be a grown up, I think it was around my 10th birthday, I was
thinking that it'll be ages before I grow up & drive a car, go to college & all the other exciting things that grown ups do:) I remembered this on my 30th birthday, when I was feeling a little sad, scared and confused. I couldn't believe that I was 30, how did I become so old? why should the time fly? can't it move a little bit slowly? lol.
Facebook is evil, lol, esp. the Pet society over there. I got addicted to playing it pretty fast. I was playing day & night for a week, before I realized that I hadn't scrapped a page in a week, so I'm out of it now, I do play occasionally, but I can safely say that I'm cured of the addiction, lol.
From the scrapping front, I joined a few teams, resigned from a few. I was invited to join the CT at The Digichick:) I also got into Ida's team at Catscraps. I'll be a guest CTM for one of my favorite designers in April-May, can't wait!!!
Ida & Gabi have teamed up to create this gorgeous kit. The kit will be released tomorrow, Tuesday March 31st and will be available for 20% off that day.

Today is Maanasa's 3rd birthday. I can't believe that she is already 3, where did the time go?? My baby is slowly becoming a little girl. She loves pink already:) She is a sweetie, she loves her sister & shares everything with her. She rarely cries & laughs all the time. She is not shy, she talks to everyone, it is so cute to hear her babble away in tamil(our mother tongue) with english & german words mixed up. She loves to sing & dance, she can carry a tune quite well, she is a picky eater, she loves her teddies & wouldn't sleep without the 3 teddies in her bed. She is a chatterbox, not unlike me, lol. People used to tell me about terrible two's but we had only terrific two's:) We are so blessed to have her in our life.
I'm not feeling very well today ):so I bought a cake for her to cut in her krippe. She had a small party there. We'll be celebrating her birthday with some close friends on saturday. Here are some photos of the birthday girl:)

Time for my quarterly update,lol. Seriously, I've decided to blog more often, atleast twice a week, let us see:) Life is hectic but good. We had a great time in India, the grandparents totally spoiled Maanasa & Neha. Neha celebrated her first birthday with our family & friends there. Neha is walking or I should actually say, she is running, this girl never walks, she runs all the time, she is full of energy. It is amazing to see how different Maanasa & Neha are, since they are only 2 years apart, I remember what Maanasa did at each stage. Maanasa was also a busybody, always moving around, very energetic, but used to play quietly, but Neha is a live wire, she is super active and when she is excited she gives a ear splitting scream that actually sounds like a horse neighing, lol. Maanasa didn't like to be cuddled or held. Neha loves to cuddle. She would play in a place for a few minutes, then she will climb on my lap & cuddle for a few minutes before playing again. She is very friendly with everyone. We have a lot of friends in our area because of Maanasa & Neha. I was a little worried about how Maanasa will feel about Neha, but so far, she has not shown any signs of jealousy at all, she shares all her toys with Neha, even her prized possession, the Teddy bear,lol. She doesn't say anything when Sriram or I hold Neha, in fact she tells us to hold her & play with her. In turn Neha adores her bigger sister. She has a special smile reserved for her. In fact, Neha's first word was 'Akka'- elder sister.

I can't believe that it is march already, Neha is going to be 1 in exactly 2 months, time just flies. She is holding onto things and walking now & just today she took a few steps on her own. Maanasa is busy with her playschool, she really enjoys herself there & she has a lots of friends, she has picked up a lot of German, she evens sings a few german songs. Finally it i becoming a little warmer now. This winter was horrible for us. All of us were falling sick again & again, so I'm looking forward to this spring so much.
Maanasa loves to see the printouts of my layouts, she sees the folder every day & will ask me lots of questions, of course the same questions, in the same order every day and I am expected to give the same answers, without missing a word, lol.

It has been a long time since I blogged, so I have literally 100's of layouts to be posted here, so I'll just post my recent favorites.

Neha is sitting up & Stand up & Scrap Layouts

Neha is 6 months old & sits up without support.

How cute is she!!!

I've started her on solids, she now eats cereals & vegetable mash. People are scaring me by saying that she is going to walk soon,lol. I'm so not ready for that right now. She has started sleeping through the night (Woohoo, lol), but she just wouldn't nap during the day, but if I take her out, she sleeps for about 2 hours in her pram. So, I' try to go out every afternoon. It is quite cold now and sometimes it is very tiring, dressing both the kids & getting them ready to go out, but Maanasa is thrilled as she gets to go to the park everyday. Maanasa & Neha have started playing together, Neha adores her sister, you should see her broad smile when she hears her sister talking:) Maanasa talks non-stop, she has started asking lots of questions.
Stand up & Scrap is finally over. I got a whooping 9 points, I know it is not much, but it means the world to me. I got it for my Week 3 layout which makes me even more happy because this LO was a totally new style for me. I learnt quite a lot about blending modes and I really put my heart & mind into making this page. This is the first contest I participated & I loved it, well, most of the times, lol. Of course it was a little stress on having a deadline & topic/concept, but I think it pushed me to explore beyond my comfort zone. Here are all the 6 layouts.

It's been ages since I posted here. Time for an update:)
Neha is here, she was born on the EDD:May 3rd by emergency C section.
I had a regular appointment with the Dr. in the morning, I had been having contractions on and off, he did a non-stress test and was concerned about baby's irregular heart rate. He sent me straight to L&D to have a stress test so that he could induce labour. Even before they could start the I.V, I had a strong contraction & the baby's heart beat went down drastically, so they decided to do a C-section as soon as possible. Neha was born at 2.18 p.m. She weighed 3.445gms & was 48 cms long. The moment she came out, she let out a cry and then turned blue all over, they had to give her oxygen immediately, she also had low sugar & low haemoglobin levels. She was kept under observation for 4 days. Now she is completely alright. We came home on wednesday afternoon. She is doing fine and Maanasa is thrilled about having us home. Every time when Neha cries, Maanasa mimics her crying & tells me that 'Neha baby is crying like this.....':).

I can't wait to get back to scrapping, Sriram is at home next week too & I'm planning to catch up on scrapping (if Neha cooperates:).

Blogging after a long............. time

I'm blogging after such a long time that I forgot the password & I had to set a new one:)
It snowed only once this year so far & it is already march. Ok, winter is not my favorite season but I love snow, I love watching the snow falling & walking on fresh snow. This year I was even more looking forward to it as I wanted to introduce Maanasa to snow & I eagerly bought her snow boots, gloves etc, but it snowed only once & that too not so much ):
I am 33 weeks pregnant now. This baby is very active, kicks me quite a lot:), Maanasa is such an easy child, she slept through the night from early on & never gave us any trouble,even when teething, I'm not sure if we would be lucky this time as well.
I'm getting really uncomfortable now, can't sleep well & I'm feeling very thirsty all the time. Last time I had gestational diabetes, but luckily the sugar levels are normal this time, but I have problems with low B.P instead. I had emergency C-Section with Maanasa as the umbilical cord was wrapped around her neck, but the Dr. said we could try for a normal delivery this time. I'm excited about it, but I'm not 100% sure if I can manage it, lol. Can't wait for the next 5 weeks to get over fast.
Onto scrapping news, I'm loving these guest CT gigs, I get to know the designer's style & there is no long term commitment. I was on guest CT for Ake in January. This month I'm a guest CT for Teresa Ferguson at Sweet Shoppe & Cindy Irvine at Elemental Scraps & Bette Duganitz at SBE.
Thanks to Amy, I started a wishlist at Kabbodle & since so many digi stores are having a sale right now, bought a few things. Can't wait to use them.
Normally I don't win anything, anywhere, I'm so unlucky. I was so thrilled & surprised when I won a HP printer at Digiscrap info., but I could not use it here(due to voltage differences), Connie was so helpful in answering all my questions through mail & finally she offered me ACDsee photo editor instead of the printer & I jumped at the opportunity, I had downloaded the trial version & I love it, it just makes organizing so easy, I now scrap with things that I didn't even realize that I bought & downloaded, lol. I also won a 10$ GC to NDISB.
I'm slowly trying to experiment with altering my scrapping style, nothing drastic, but I do want to play with all these fab. doodles & swirls that seem to be the in thing now. I've tried a couple of layouts in this style & I think I like the result.
I have a great news to share, but I can't until the announcements are made:)

Back again, with a super-long post:)

I'm not even going to give any excuses for not blogging for so long.
I'm 24 weeks pregnant now & so far things are going great, ok, except for the one time that almost I fainted in H&M. Oh, it was scary. Not that I've never fainted in my life, oh yes, I've fainted 4 or 5 times in the bus in India & that always got me a seat (I promise you, I didn't faint for getting a seat:) once I fainted when I was having my hair cut & I was new to Switzerland, I couldn't speak German & everyone there panicked & were about to call an ambulance when Sriram came to my rescue & explained to them that it's nothing to worry & it happens all the time, lol. After that, when I was 8 weeks pregnant with Maanasa, I fainted in my office, that was so embarrassing. Just the previous day, we had confirmed my pregnancy & we decided to wait till at least 12 weeks to inform my boss. The next morning, I fainted in the lab & they had to call an ambulance because my bp was very low & I was sweating profusely & in the emergency I woke up & had to tell them about my pregnancy. I came back to office that afternoon & everyone was making fun of me.
All this was so different, fro my recent fainting attack. Normally, I don't worry about it much because I know that It's due to my anemia & I take iron pills on & off for that. But this time Maanasa was with me. I knew that I was going to fall down any second If I don't lie down & I knew that Maanasa was running around inside the shop & I had forgotten to bring her stroller in the car. I was panicking, but thank God, I was not alone, I went with my friend A & she was immediately running to check on Maanasa & she is 31 weeks pregnant & she also had to take care of her little one, J. Thanks so much A, without you, it would have been a real nightmare. So I decided not to go out alone anymore for another 10 weeks.
I miss my coffee ): Ok I don't drink that much, but I love to drink my morning cup of coffee (with lots of milk) after Maanasa naps. Its not coffee per se, that I'm missing, it is the whole coffee break thing. I'm not sure if I can explain this without sounding stupid, but I'll try. First of all, I love Maanasa & I love the time I spend with her (what's that got to do with the coffee, you ask me, wait.. I'm coming there:). But I also crave for 'my' time, my personal time. When Maanasa wakes up in the morning, fully recharged, she is super active & by the time she's ready for her nap, I'm ready for one too:) But after she goes to sleep, I make my coffee & sit in front of the pc happily browsing through scrap forums, checking my emails, reading blogs or sometimes just reading a book. I'm in a world of my own, till I realize that I've to finish cooking lunch before she wakes or finish up the washing etc. So that's why this coffee time is so important for me. I resent it when I've to miss this. But now a days, I hate coffee, I think it's got something to do with my pregnancy. I even threw up a couple of times after coffee. I don't remember having any food aversions when I was pregnant with Maanasa.
This time I also have cravings. I crave for fruits. You won't believe, after having a sumptuous dinner, I still eat 2 or 3 kiwis or half a mango or 4,5 oranges. I'm a little worried about this though. I know fruits are good & all that, but my GTT is coming up on feb 2nd & with last pregnancy, I had gestational diabetes, borderline, but still I had to control my sugar, carbohydrate intake. Scientifically, the biochemist in me tells me what fruit intake will not cause gestational diabetes, but still....
I'm sick. I have a horrible sore throat, blocked nose & cold. My nose & throat are so dry that they are bleeding a little bit ): I'm scared that Maanasa or Sriram is going to catch it from me ):
Maanasa speaks a lot now, she understands almost everything, now Sriram & I have to talk in English if we don't want her to understand what we say, soon she'll be able to follow English too, then I'm afraid we have to talk in codes only, lol. If she gives me a kiss, she has to go find Sriram to give him one too & vice versa, she is so sweet. She is such a happy child, always laughing, undemanding, we are so very blessed, which also makes me afraid that the next one is going to be the exact opposite, lol.

My friend Marlena from my birth board made them for Maanasa. She makes & sells these, I already bought a lot from her & now I'm buying them to give as gifts. They don't fall off like the clips I buy from the stores here, I think it has a magnet or something. I'm so excited now because till now, Maanasa would always take out her clip/bow as soon as I put them on. Now after I comb her hair, she's asking for a kip (clip) :)
Onto some scrapping news:
Amy K & Tracy B have decided to stop designing (for time being, I hope) & I am so sad about it. I loved being on their teams. Both of them invited me to be on their teams & that was such a boost to my scrapping ego:), made me really think that my layouts are not so bad after all. Tracy was my first CT boss & I can't explain the thrill I experienced when I got a pm from her inviting me to be on her team. I hope that they'll start designing again & allow me to be on their team once more.

As usual I'm here for my monthly update:) I'll not go into why I'm a bad blogger, I will not lie that I'm busy etc etc, it's just that I really didn't feel like typing an entry, moreover no one reads my blog:)
Ok I've lots & lots of updates.
Maanasa is going to be a big sister:) We are expecting our second baby in May. I'm super excited & just couldn't wait to share this with everyone, but I wanted to wait for the first 3 months. So far, everything is going on well. No morning sickness, lots of tiredness the initial 2 months, just like last time. I have horrible back pain though, so I resigned from 2 more CT's. I'm so sad about it, I really enjoyed working with Becky & Rose. But as it, I was slacking for the past 2 months & I was not keeping up my CT commitments, so I decided to quit.
I'm getting published:) I'm so thrilled. I submitted one of my pages to simple scrapbook & got accepted. It will appear in the Jan/Feb issue.
Maanasa has a huge vocabulary now, she repeats whatever we tell her:) It is so cute to hear her talk. She is also teething like crazy, she is not eating properly, poor baby): she is becoming a daddy's girl more & more:) I think it is inevitable, I was a daddy's girl too, (aren't all girls)

This blogging has become a monthly routine for me, lol. I don't have the energy to write a lot. I'm down with flu, it couldn't have come at a worser time, as usual I got it from Maanasa, poor baby is coughing a lot & I just can't sleep in the nights if she coughs like that ): I think I'm coming down with a fever too, my heads hurts bad.

I was super excited & thrilled to get an email from Amy Knepper inviting me to be on her fabulous CT. She sells at Scrapdish & Digichick
I love her designs & I'm always stalking her blog, lol. I'm so happy to be working with the very talented Tracy, Robin, Melinda, Mish, Emily,Cathy, Audra & Cass (hope I've not left out anyone).
I'm so angry right now. I was supposed to have a job interview, this morning, it is for a part-time teaching job at an international school nearby. I had spoken with the principal twice over the phone & we agreed on the date & time, a month ago. So today, my husband stayed at home to take care of Maanasa when I'm gone. I got everything ready, printed out my CV etc etc & reached there on time to find the principal away, no one knows where she is & finally a nice lady found me waiting in the reception, so she tried to call the principal over her mobile, which is promptly switched off. Finally she reached & found out that the lady had sent me a mail a couple of days ago, asking me to call before I come. I didn't get any emails from her, I come home & check my bulk folder, there it was, but it was sent only yesterday evening & not a couple of days back & it says about how sorry she was for not being able to offer me a job right now. I was so mad & I just want to call her & say that she should've atleast called me yesterday to tell me about it rather than sending an email in the last minute & expecting me to check my email all the time. I'm not so mad at not getting the job, it is ok, I don't really need the job, in fact, I was a little hesitant abour applying for it, in the first place, it is just her attitude, the rudeness and perfectly unprofessional behavior that makes me mad.
Moving onto more pleasant things, like scrapbooking, lol.
I resigned from Bella Gypsy designs, Lena & Tabatha are really nice girls & I'll be missing working for them.

Exciting stuff

Nothing really exciting, but can't think of an appropriate title,lol. So I've not even going to talk about how long it's been since my last post, lol. Maanasa is 14 months old now & she says about 12 words, she runs everywhere, she doesn't want to sit in her stroller, so that makes going out a bit difficult, not that I want to go out in this horrible weather. It's been raining since 2 weeks & it's so cold, the central heating is not yet on & we are freezing.
In digiscrapping news, I'm CT member of Lyndsay Riches, I'm so excited about it. She has some fab. stuff at PDW. Go check it out.
I love the 'Praise Game' at DST. Lots of people get to see your LO's & you get lots of comments too:) So I sign up for it whenever I upload a LO & the actual rules are that you comment the LO of the person before you, but I try to comment on everyone who has signed up. It's great fun. I love to see everyone's layouts & get inspired. So my favorite folder is filling up so fast.

It was really hot here, so I was not able to take Maanasa for afternoon walks, I hate to be inside the house the whole day. It drives both of us crazy. Thank God, it was a little less warm today & I took her to the nearby park. She wanted to walk in the grass, it was so cute to see her walking a few steps, falling down, getting up again, turning & seeing if I'm looking & repeating the same thing again, lol. She has started repeating words. She says cap, bye bye, car, mam mam (means food), teddy (her lovie), thitha (an abbreviated version of my friend's dd's name), bow bow(dog), amma(mom), appa(dad) & shoe. My girl is totally obsessed with shoes. She can play with them for hours, lol. If I try to take them away from her, she screams bloody murder. The moment she sees Sriram entering into the house in the evenings, she squeals with delight & babbles something that sounds like a welcome note:) for a few minutes, that just melts his heart.She loves to dance, the minute she hears a music her body starts swaying & she really enjoys it so much. I'll see if I can upload a video of her dancing.

Ok, finally got some time to update my poor, neglected blog. Maanasa started walking on friday. She's been holding onto things & walking for quite some time, but on friday she started walking on her own. She was so much excited about it, she couldn't stop smiling, she
would take a few tentative steps, turn & look at me & smile & then continue again, this little girl of mine is a real charmer:)
It's been 3 weeks since we moved into our new apartment,but we're still not done with the unpacking. At this rate, it's going to take a year,lol.

I don't know why I keep applying for CT's. No, that's not true, I know why, I think I'm craving for recognition. I know that I scrap to preserve & cherish memories etc etc, but I also look forward to having fun, getting recognized by the other scrapper's out there & more than all that, to find out if I'm good enough. Every time I get a reject email, I get a little depressed & decide not to apply again, but the next time, I apply again. Hmm... I don't know when this is going to stop.
I'm already in some fabulous CT's & I'm quite happy about being in them. So I think I'll stop applying for time being. Of course, I'm waiting to get reject emails from 2 more, lol. I think I'll stop looking at the ads in just digitals, do you think I can do it, lol.

I'm super excited. My 'Explore' LO was the digipick of the day. When Fiona mailed me about it this morning, I couldn't stop jumping up & down. I'm even more happy about it because I used Tracy's 'Creative expression' kit for this LO.

Bad Blogger

I've been a bad blogger. So did you miss me??, lol, I think hardly anyone reads my blog. Life has been pretty hectic of late. We had a great vacation. It was really hot, about 40-43 deg.,Maanasa enjoyed herself despite the heat. We didn't take her out much, inside the house it is air conditioned, so it was ok. Maanasa was born on the 9th of June, but we normally celebrate birthdays we celebrated her first birthday on May 31st with about 70 of our relatives & friends. Maanasa was so cooperative, she didn't trouble us at all during the flight & didn't suffer from any jet lag.
After coming back from India, we had to shift to our new apartment in 1 week's time. It's been a week since we shifted, but we have not unpacked completely, I think it's going to take 2 more weeks. With Maanasa, it is next to impossible for me to unpack during the day, she has become so active. She is talking all the time, only thing is I don't understand her language,lol. She walks holding onto something & took about 7,8 steps on her own. I'm waiting for her to start walking. Well, not really, I have mixed emotions about it. She's growing up so fast & I want her to remain as my baby for longer.
I'm so excited. I've bought PSCS2 & I also bought a wacom before I left for holidays. I can't wait to play with it. I've been slacking on my CT work. I'm trying to work on it now, I think I'll catch up in a week.

Mad at Media

Yesterday, I went to the library to return my books, I just happened to chat with the librarian, he asked me a question that made me really sad & angry. When I told him that I was going on a vacation to India, he asked me if it was ok to take my daughter there & how did I feel about having a daughter. I didn't really understand his questions at first. So I said I am really happy to have a daughter & am looking forward to take her with me. He then told me the reason for asking those questions. He thought that girls were not wished for & many were killed on birth or aborted in India. My colleagues at work have already asked me similar questions and also if there are monkeys in the streets & beggars pulling at your legs in India. Yes there are monkeys & beggars & female infanticide etc etc in India, but it is just like in every other part of the world. There are human beings living everywhere, so things like these bound to happen, but it doesn't mean that in India this is an everyday happening. I'm not angry at these people for asking these questions. They have heard/seen/ read about it somewhere & they just want to know if it's true. I would've done the same thing. But you know what irks me, what makes me really mad, it is the damn media. They always exaggerate on these human interest stories & portray India as a poor, needy country full of monkeys & beggars. Why don't they instead focus on the education level, simplicity of the people, the rich cultural heritage, the warm-hearted, friendly, hospitable people etc etc. Ok, I think I've vented enough, lol.

This sunday we took Maanasa to the playground. She just loves to swing, she was giggling all the time, it was so cute. I was so happy because I'm not very fond of swings but I wanted her to enjoy it. Can't wait to take her to the playground more often. The only problem is she wants to get down from the stroller & crawl around:)
I have to start packing for India trip today. I don't want to leave it till the last minute.

Maanasa is learning new things every day:) She's been babbling non-stop for the past couple of days. Today she clapped for the first time . When I told her to clap for appa(dad), she clapped immediately. I was crying(lol), the first time she clapped. She wants to stand all the time now, I think she wants to practice her new-found skill to perfection. I think another tooth is coming out because she was a little restless & cranky yesterday night & she's been biting everything in sight the whole day today. But she wouldn't allow me to take a look.
I love reading & one thing that I miss sorely here in Switzerland is a library. We do have a library in my town here, but it has a very limited selection of english books. Today I went to the library & to my dismay, found out that I've finished reading about 60% of the books there. I can read German, but its still not the same as reading english books.I think I'm going to start a library here, Sriram says that I have enough books to start a huge library anyway:) I might seriously think about this after I'm back from India.
I'm really excited about my trip to India, but I'm a little scared too, because it is so hot there. It is about 40 deg. Maanasa is not used to so much heat, she sweats here in Switzerland at 24 deg, lol. I'm not sure about what to take with me. I'll probably take some diapers, but I don't think I'm going to use them all day, I'll probably buy some cloth diapers, I think they are the best for the hot weather. I'm planning to start Maanasa with some of our staple food like rice, lentils etc, once we are there. We are taking the travel cot with us, as she's used to sleeping in her own cot here. I'm just overwhelmed to think about how much stuff I've to carry. Maybe I'm going overboard, but it is her first time there & as it is she's going to face a lot of new things, so I'm being a little careful in taking a lot of things with me. But we can carry upto 70kgs, so I think I can manage.

It's been a long time....

I've been totally neglecting my blog. There are no specific reasons for not blogging other than plain lazziness.
We went to Locarno, which is in the Italian part of Switzerland for May 1st long weekend. The trip was great. Maanasa enjoyed it very well. The weather was super, not too hot, not too cold, just right. I love the italian side of Switzerland. Somehow it reminds me of India, I think it's the weather(warm), the food (hot) & the people (loud).

I had made lots of plans for the NSD on saturday. I even told dh that I'll be occupied the whole day & he immediately offered to take care of Maanasa, the whole day. I wanted to buy some stuff on awesome sales, but I was so tired & I just slept for 2 hours on saturday afternoon. After that I didn't really feel like using my computer, something was definitely wrong with me, lol.

Maanasa is growing up fast. She has a 2 tooth now, one in the bottom & one in the top. She dances to music. It is so cute to watch her swaying her hips & clapping to music. She is trying to walk, holding on to a support & she just loves to play with the computer, lol. I have a hard time trying to keep her away from it. Do you think I should start training her young:)
We are going to India on a 4 weeks holiday. I'm so excited about it. But I'm a little scared as well, as it's going to be really hot, especially for Maanasa. It is her first visit, We'll be celebrating Maanasa's birthday there. My grandmothers, my brothers, my FIL & other friends have not yet seen Maanasa. So they are excited too. There are 2 more weeks to go & I can't wait.

I'm so......... happy & excited. I couldn't stop smiling. I got into scrapdish CT. I was checking my email every hour to see if if I had a mail from Robin. I screamed with joy, when I just read her mail aloud to my hubby just now. I can't wait to start working with the awesome designers at scrapdish.
I've had a horrible couple of days. All of us had the stomach flu & it was really bad. I just couldn't get up for 2 days. Thankfully, dh got it a day later than me, so we were able to somehow manage Maanasa. We are fully recovered now, but I'm still very weak. I've 7 layouts to share with you all.

We went away for the weekend with a few close friends, to a beautiful place called 'Amden'. We had a great time there. The guest house was very nice, with a state of art kitchen. So we had a fun time cooking our dinner. But there was a snow storm on saturday night & we were not able to move our car. After trying for an hour & a half, we finally left from there.
I got into Sara Amarie's CT. Here is the announcement in her blog.
She sells at 3 scrapateers. When I saw the CT call, I just clicked on her shop link to take a look as I'd never heard of her till then. I saw some beautiful stuff,so I decided to apply, but I didn't think I would get it though. I'm so excited now & I can't wait to scrap with her kits.

I love this photo of Maanasa. She was playing peek-a-boo with me. Her cot is next to ours. Sometimes she wakes up really early in the mornings, like 6 a.m:), if I still feel a little sleepy, I just keep talking to her, playing with her for a few more minutes till I force myself to wake up. This particular morning, we were playing peek-a-boo & she was very very cute, I just had to get the camera:)

As soon as I saw the 'Cutest cowgirl' kit by Tracy, I was searching & searching for photos in my folder. Unfortunately I couldn't find any, so I used a stock photo from the net. This kit is too cute. I love it.

Tonight I'm going for a theater performance with my german class friends. The play is in swiss german, so I'm not really sure how much of it I can understand, but our German teacher is also going to be there, so it'll be fun.

Beauty - Layout

Hurray!!!! Maanasa has started sitting.
I participated in Scrrapper's spotlight contest at RAKSCRAPS. I scraplifted Leila's 'The only Beauty' layout. She has some swesome stuff in her gallery, loads of inspiration.

A very special Layout

I have a bad cold since yesterday. I'm trying not to go near Maanasa. Dh stayed home today to take care of her:) & I was happily scrapping the whole day.
This layout is very special to me for a couple of reasons. This is my first layout in PSE 4.0. I think I'm going to buy it at the end of the trial period. I love it, especially the drop shadows. I was never satisfied with drop shadows in DIP, probably I didn't know how to use them better.
I was browsing through several quotes to use with this photo & then suddenly thought about attempting to write a (very)small poem. So here it is:
When I knew that you were going to come in June
I was over the moon.
After confirming that you were a little girl, my pearl
I didn't even stop to think
I went & bought everything in pink.
I love you my little baby,
For you are a part of me.
All my love, my hope & dream for you
May all of them come true.
It is nothing spectacular, but it is special because this is my first poem, if you could call it that:)I never thought about scrapping this photo, but I was reorganizing my photos & just came across this, I was crying looking at these teeny weeny socks & onsies, thinking about my pregnancy & about how tiny my little girl was once. Even when I was pregnant, I knew that she would be a very sweet child, I was never sick for even a day. Now, she never troubles me,
always smiles even as soon as she wakes up. I love this baby of mine.
I used Tracy Blankenships's 'Madeline Rose' for this layout. I'm in love with this kit. It is absolutely beautiful.

Another layout I did yesterday using the 'Apple Crisp' kit by Bella Gypsy designs available at ACOT.

It is a part of their Coffee Shop Collection. It is awesome. I can't wait to play with the the other kits in this collection.

I'm so excited because I've hit 5000 posts at RAKSCRAPS. I love this place. The people are very friendly & always ready to help. I've made quite a few friends here. This place really RAKS:) I've another LO from Mom's mini album to share with you. This one is extra special because it's my 100th layout. YES MY 100th LAYOUT & I did this using 'Shine' kit by Bella Gypsy. I love this kit. I think I'll be using this again for another page soon.

I've downloaded the free trial version of Photoshop elements 4.0, can't wait to play with it. I think I'm going to like it a lot. I've applied for another CT & I really really want to get it. I'm keeping my fingers crossed. Let us see:)

Maanasa is 3 days old in this photo. She is/was such a well behaved baby. She never cries much, slept through the night from 4 months, a very contended & happy baby. I'm so lucky & blessed to have her.

I used 'Sweets for my sweetie' kit by Becky Vosburg available at digishoppe. The colors of the kit match those of Maanasa's dress perfectly:)

It's snowing outside & it is just the perfect weather to sit & scrap:) But unfortunately Maanasa doesn't think so:) She is becoming more & more active & naughty & I just have to watch her carefully all the time.

Maanasa loves to watch Baby Einstein & Old Mc.Donald DVD's. She loves the songs & concentrates totally. She usually crosses her legs when lying down, it looks too cute:) How can I not scrap a page with this cute photo. So, here is the page. I used 'Bohemian Luxe' kit by Bella Gypsy designs, the flower is from 'Edible flowers' by scrap kitchen & the doodle is from 'Sassy Girl' kit by Bette Duganitz.

Ok, the last one. This one is for the 'Mom's Advice mini album' at RAKSCRAPS. This is a fun project, I can't wait to do the rest of it. This week's quote is "Don't put that in your mouth, you don't know where it's been!" & I had the perfect photos to use. I used the 'Canvas Flowers' kit by Christine Schultz.

Bella Gypsy CT & All About me layout.

I can't beleive that someone actually bothered to read my blog. Thanks for leaving comments Fiona & Melinda. You made my day:)
I applied for a CT position in Bella Gypsy Designs. Tabatha Reed & Lena Brandenburg design awesome kits & they sell at 'A cherry on top'. I'm totally thrilled to be on their team. I already made 3 layouts using their kits. I think my favorite so far is the Frolic kit. I love the colors & patterns in this kit. I used this for an 'all about me' layout.

I'm thinking of buying a WACOM tablet, but it is so confusing to decide on which one to buy. I spent the whole of yesterday evening looking at different threads in the SBB & RAKSCRAPS forum & got even more confused, lol. The biggest problem is here in switzerland I can only get the German version of the software, though I understand German, it is pain not having an english version.
Maanasa has learnt to open cupboards :), I left her for a minute & came back to see her blissfully examining the contents of the cupboard. There were too many things inside & I think she was just trying to decide if she wanted to play with the mobile phone charger
or the screw driver first:)
Tania has posted 2 quotes for this week's Mom's advice project, can't wait to start working on it.

Being a part of creative teams means so much to me because that means people see my work, judge them & consider me good enough to work with their designs. This is very important for me as I always admire people who are creative & has thought that I don't have a bone of creativity in me. When I started digiscrapping, way back in May 2005, I was sure that this new hobby of mine was not going to last long. But I was mistaken. I love digiscrapping & the creative part in me has come out because of it.
I should thank Tracy B for inviting me to be her CT first. She wrote a very sweet mail & I was jumping up & down with excitement. Till then, I never thought people liked my work. After that I got a little brave & applied for more CTs, got my share of rejections:)
Tracy B has started selling her designs at Digital freebies too & she decided to expand her CT. She has chosen the following people.

I'm doing a project at RAKSCRAPS. It is called Mom's advice & the first week's title was 'If you keep making that face, it'll freeze that way'. I had the perfect photo of Maanasa & I used Ginger.T's sketch as my inspiration. I love the way it has turned out. I think this is going to be my favorite layouts for a long time. I was so excited to see that Ginger has highlighted the layout in her blog. Check it out here
Maanasa has been blowing bubbles for the past 3 weeks or so. She loves to do it all the time. It is cute (most of the times) & a little annoying if she does it while eating:)
